Castleton Corners

Quiet Near park

The upscale neighborhood of Castleton Corners earned its name from the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Manor Road.

Once called “Centerville,” the area was eventually renamed after the local post office, which opened in 1872.

This intersection at the heart of Castleton Corners was once the hub of an important commercial district, but has since mellowed out after Staten Island Mall opened its doors in the 1970s.
