West Village

Quiet Good transportation Great food Fun nightlife Cool factor

Perhaps more than any other NYC neighborhood, West Villagers are obsessed with their neighborhood.

For instance, many forgo basic privacy by making two-bedroom apartments accommodate four roommates and embrace sleeping in a room with enough space for a bed and nothing more. They also give up...cash to live in one of the city's most expensive neighborhoods.

This is a year sublet for a FULLY FURNISHED 2br/1 bath apartment in a pre-war building in the heart of the West Village. $3500 includes cable, wifi, and utilities.

One block from the 1 Subway and Christopher St. PATH station; 2 blocks from W. 4th St. Subway Station. Tons of amazing restaurants and cafe's very close by....spa on the corner, laundry directly across the street, and Employees Only (the best bar in the west village) right around the corner, and premium shopping all up and down Bleecker.

This apartment has the BEST possible layout for a 2 bedroom, utilizing every square foot of space to maximize shared space/kitchen (great for entertaining) and privacy (rooms on opposite sides of the apartment).

The person you are subletting from has gut renovated and fully furnished this place over the past 2 years. Wood floors, new appliances (stove/oven, fridge), XL sink, new track lighting, new sconces (on the exposed brick living room wall), painted 6 months ago with a seabreeze blue feature wall.

There is a $1,200.00 Stewart Film Screen Corporation framed theater display is mounted on the feature wall with a $5,999.00 Canon Projector mounted on the ceiling. This system is ideal for the setup of this apartment providing an unparalleled entertainment experience. Whether it's having the bro's over for the big game or having the girls over for larger than life Revenge screenings you (and everyone privileged enough to view it) will cherish and marvel at this home theater apparatus. The bootleg cable box is attached which gets every channel known to man (but only works about 60% of the time) so I suggest getting an HDMI converter and attaching it to your computer or ipad for streaming/downloading. As if the home theater weren't enough.. there is a $2,500.00 leather wraparound couch with a matching leather lounge/ottoman and 2 matching leather chairs. There is also a small desk being used as an end table but is also ideal for getting work done on the computer. Mounted on the exposed brick wall is an $800 massive mirror (really opens the space up) and a Sole x Supreme "Ocean Front Walk" Bicycle and Supreme Skateboard Deck that matches the bike display mount. There is also some decorative brass pots and pans hanging above the kitchen and a matching rust/sepia skyline on 3 stretched canvas panels. Also a mirror/coat rack leading into the hallway for hanging winter attire and making sure your hair doesn't look like shit when you're on your way out in a hurry.

Bedrooms: Each the same size, one opens directly across from the bathroom, and the one on the other side of the apartment opens right into the living room. Neither has traditional closet space but both have homemade highly utilitarian functional closets with plenty of space to hang, store clothes. They also both have nice dressers and shelf space. Want more? Both decorated with art. Room closes to the living room features 2 LARGE oil on canvas matching panels of a man and a woman having a drink, and the deep dark red on the canvas matches the exact same color as the blinds. The blinds are necessary as the window looks directly onto the wall/window of the building next to ours. The room that opens across from bathroom features two great graffiti pieces and also has a functional window that gets sunlight most of the day and faces the backyard of the building behind us. The great thing is this unit is in the back of the apartment so although it doesn't get a ton of natural sunlight it has is AMAZINGLY quiet. One of the quietest most peaceful units in the village for sure.

Rent is $3500/mo* ($1750/room) with utilities, cable, and wifi included. This is for a year sublease starting Jan 1, 2014. BROKER FEE is 15% of the annual rent ($6300).
