Park Slope

Quiet Good transportation Great food Fun nightlife

Park Slope, often known as the baby stroller capital of the world, very much lives up to its reputation but is so much more than that.

While many young parents with children inhabit the neighborhood because of its excellent education system and proximity to Prospect Park, its lovely tree-lined streets, community focus, and selection of restaurants make it a wonderful neighborhood for anyone to live in.

Before reading. This is not a true two bedroom. There is a bedroom upstairs. There is a large Rec Room downstairs which I've included as a bedroom so if someone is looking for a home office or something similar they can consider this apartment. But the rec room is not a legal bedroom bc there are only 2 tiny windows.

First floor: Enter into hallway foyer which leads you to the bath on left, towel/ linens closet on right, BR ahead and kitchen (one year old dishwasher) & dinette area, dining, living area, to the right. Look to back wall of living area: glass sliders to private deck, spacious, fenced, green & tree shaded in summer. Sits five comfortably, see for yourself.Back inside First Floor. Washer Dryer Hookup but WITH actually with Washer Dryer already THERE for purchase-- if desired-- from existing tenant. Inside main floor BR, very large window with garden view, generous closet. Bedroom is large, not a small NYC bedroom. Lower floor: Spiral stairs lead from upper floor down to huge large open area/room-- the entire width of the house. Over the years it has been utilized mainly as a spacious master bedroom several times, but also as a dance studio, a music room (it is basically sound proof being the lower level/subfloor), exercise room and a huge storage room for one couple who preferred to use it rather than outside storage facilities. Actually it is large enough to be used as two or three of these things at once. Additionally, there is on this floor, a very large walk in closet with built in shelving that finishes off the closet space for this apartment in such a way that one could hardly want for more. This first floor and sub-level apartment is well air-conditioned atop and there is no need for AC in the lower level. Please note: this is a new-construction building. It does not have the old world details for which many come to Park Slope. Rather, the trade-off is, a sensible floor plan and amenities that are not normally available in the old restored detailed homes. When your guest comes to the door of this home for instance, you meet her/him properly at the foyer of your apartment and lead her/him in, rather than have your guest immediately enter into your living area and see the entire expanse as is the case in parlour floor apts and walk in apts of brownstones. Tenant pays for heat, and heating of water
