Bulls Head

Quiet Near park

The west-central Staten Island neighborhood Bulls Head traces its name to The Bull's Head Tavern, a Staten Island tavern built in 1741 that was a popular stop for Tories prior to the Revolutionary War.

The tavern was destroyed in a fire, but prior to that it was a prominent historical attraction that brought people from all throughout the country. The Bulls Head neighborhood primarily exists around the intersection at Richmond and Victory, close to the site of the original tavern.
