Quiet Near park

Woodhaven is a small, low-density middle-class neighborhood south of the large Forest Park.

Today, Woodhaven is perhaps best known as a neighborhood with a large number of trees (which is only significant because this is New York City we’re talking about). In other words, it still looks and feels very suburban, but also hints at an older European influence with its many Victorian and Colonial-style homes.

About Woodhaven:

Woodhaven has a distinctively suburban feel with an abundance of single family homes and tree-lined streets. Forest Park, just to the north, brings more fresh air to the neighborhood. Jamaica Avenue is the place to shop with large retail chains and local merchants offering wares side by side. Though far from the city in spirit, the J and Z lines, express busses and LIRR offer easy access to a more metropolitan setting.
