OUR OPINION: We love the building. Few Brooklynites have the opportunity to live in historic buildings with distinct features and unique characteristics that define an era. This building and it's Lofts are simply timeless. Massive wooden beams, tall ceilings, and oversized factory windows really showcase what Brooklyn living is all about. This corner unit is massive, featuring 2 large bedrooms and a large half bedroom that can easy be used as a guest room, at-home office, or 3rd bedroom. The space is an ideal layout for roommates and boasts high ceilings, large windows, and great views.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD: This building stands tall on Washington Street, between Water St & Front St, in the very center of DUMBO, which was a manufacturing hub for machinery, soap pads, and paper boxes. With deindustrialization DUMBO's closed warehouses became residential lofts, drawing upon many artists and creatives who further defined it's grounds. Historic features such as old railroad tracks, laid in brick & cobblestone roads, still exist. The neighborhood has grown into it's own, allowing many entrepreneurs to open their boutique design shops, restaurants, and unique stores.
