Located on the South Shore of Staten Island, Prince’s Bay is a neighborhood bordered to the north by Huguenot, to the south by the Raritan Bay, and to the west by Pleasant Plains.

Popular belief holds that its name comes from William, Prince of Orange, who became King of England in 1689. A predominantly white neighborhood, as of 2011 Prince’s Bay had a population of 11,283.

During the 19th century, Prince’s Bay was home to a thriving oyster-planting industry.
