Glendale is an upper-middle-class/middle-class neighborhood in central Queens that stretches along the northern border of Forest Park, the largest park in Queens.
It is notable for being smack-dab in the middle of the “cemetery belt”, which was built in Queens after cemeteries were outlawed in Manhattan after 1847. Glendale is anything but somber, however - it was known in the early 20th century for its textile and brewing companies and its excellent German restaurants.learn more about this neighborhood
