1.5br, Upper East Side, Manhattan, $2,175

Our Opinion: Talk about bang for your buck - this listing offers a lot of space for the price. The apartment has a classic railroad layout including a large bedroom and living room as well as an extra room for a home office or library. Architectural details include two large windows providing plenty of light, high ceilings adding to an old world feel as well as pristine hardwood floors throughout. While this apartment is generally considered a one bedroom, it can easily be converted to two for the right set of roommates.

The Neighborhood: The Upper East Side is a classic New York neighborhood offering an excellent quality of life for new or seasoned New Yorkers. Central Park, the city's largest, is a short walk away for those who like to enjoy time outdoors. Also, the 4,5,6 train can get you to midtown in 15 minutes making the morning and evening commute super convenient. Finally, Museum Mile includes some of the most celebrated museums in the world including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the largest in the US, as well as the Guggenheim, a shining example of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture.
