  I called his agency after my friend had used the same one a year ago. They connected me to his phone and we discussed what I wanted in an apartment. I said where I wanted to live and how much I wanted to spend, and afterwards he sent me three links in an email, I liked one of them and asked to see it asap, the next day we met and checked it out. It was a little small but the location was ideal (express subway a couple blocks away, etc.) So it fit the bill. In hindsight I should have looked more, but I don't have buyer's remorse so far. Next time I plan on avoiding a broker's fee, but that's not gabe's fault. We went back to sign the application, and there was some slight confusion in regard to the fee involved, but I read the form and it was pretty typical. A couple days later the lease came in and gabe waited while I went over it and made notes. I then moved in and had to call gabe to ask the building management to clean it up as it had some leftover junk on the shelves. They cleaned it up the same day, so thanks to gabe for the quick calls. overall gabe was helpful and did a good job of making a stressful experience a little easier by answering my questions and being pleasant to talk to. He offered to help me find a no fee apt next time, which i'll likely take him up on, haha
