  We didn't end up renting an apartment shown to us by Carmela, but that had less to do with her than with the current rental market. She's great: a genuinely kind, good humored, patient person. Carmela wasn't the most organized broker I've ever worked with and she tended to run 10-15 minutes late, but she seems really invested in finding something that meets her client's needs--and not just for her own benefit. Dealing with brokers who spend their days rushing around the five boroughs trying to show as many apartments as possible can be a frustrating process, but I enjoyed spending time with Carmela.
