This area features an eclectic mix of old Brownstones and brand new hi-rise buildings; finding an apartment in this area should be relatively easy if you are willing to pay the price.

Although not cheap, with a variety of amenities nearby Clinton offers fairly good value for the cost – particularly if you give up your car and don’t need to pay for parking.

This large, downtown community is located on the western shores of Manhattan, along the Hudson River and includes the Lincoln Tunnel. Also referred to as Hell’s Kitchen or Midtown West, Clinton resides between 34th and 59th Streets and 8th Avenue. Once a gritty, higher poverty-level neighborhood, the area has turned around in recent decades and now is a haven for many aspiring and working actors looking for their Broadway break, as well as commuters.

Clinton is directly adjacent to the Theatre District, where you can find long-running and brand-new Broadway shows. Within its boundaries, you find playgrounds, community gardens, parks (including dog-friendly parks) as well as access to Hudson River park and a promenade and bike path that extends along the Hudson River.
