As far as transportation is concerned, the 2 and 5 trains at Winthrop and Sterling Street, the Q train at Parkside Avenue and the B, Q and Shuttle trains at Prospect Park are the options offered in Prospect Lefferts Garden. Originally, the area was originally settled by a family in 1660 but in 1893 the Lefferts estate was divided by James Lefferts into six hundred building lots, now known as Lefferts Manor.
