They are, however, rather deceptive for the public cannot really appreciate the glories of the riverfront buildings, some of whose facades are much better on the river than on the street as they incorporate bay windows and more elaborate massing to maximize views. The ones on the east side of 57th and the south side of 58th Street between Sutton Place and the river all share a large communal garden.
