Four days a week (M, W, F, Saturday this park is also the site of the city's best outdoor farmer's market, an excellent source of fresh, locally grown, seasonal produce, fish, poultry, meat, wine, cheese, honey, and baked goods. Nearby are several of New York's best restaurants, including the Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, Eleven Madison Park, and Tocqueville. On 14th Street, Whole Foods is just 4 blocks to the south, as is Garden of Eden, a very well-stocked gourmet food-store.
