We don't want to move, but my partner received a promotion which requires us to relocate to California and give up our lovely apartment at the center of the universe. On Houston at Mulberry, the location is at the nexus of SoHo, Nolita, NoHo, & the Bowery, and less than four blocks from both the LES and NYU. The Bleecker St./ Broadway-Lafayette entrance to the 6, B, D, F, & M trains is literally across the street, and the Prince St. N & R is only two blocks away.
The apartment is a true one bedroom in a doorman building with an outdoor patio and great natural light. It's amazingly quiet when the windows are closed, a real sanctuary in the middle of the chaos of downtown. Good kitchen with dishwasher, central air and heat, hardwood floors in the spacious living room, and carpeting in the bedroom with closet. Small pets are allowed, which the outdoor space is great for.
We're hoping for someone to take over our lease ending April 7, 2014. You'd have to apply and be approved by the property management company, and then be added to the lease. If you wanted to keep the apartment for longer, you'd have to let us know by February 5th and then we'd do the paperwork to drop us from the lease in April and put it solely in your name. This is a great opportunity to sidestep the usual agent fee that comes with renting an apartment in NYC. Monthly rent is $3600, and we'd require a $3600 security deposit which would either be refunded when we received ours back after the apartment is vacated in April, or rolled over as your security deposit if you took over the apartment then.
Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to come see the apartment. Just to be clear, this is an unfurnished sublet. We'll be moved out December 20th.
