OUR OPINION: This home really works well for a couple seeking space for a home office, guest room, or space for a newborn. The loft does function for roommates, however the mezzanine would have to be walled in and converted. Roughly 16ft ceiling height, oversized windows, and enough living room space for a dining room table & comfortable seating area creates an inviting environment. We like the modern clean finishes, bathroom, and white kitchen.... great find. The mezzanine is very large, and for roughly under 1k would be very nicely converted into a large second bedroom.
THE BUILDING: The new development stands on McGuinness Blvd, between India Street & Huron Street, 1 block from the India access to the Greenpoint G Train. The low-rise stands 5 floors tall and features 36 oversized Loft Styled apartments, mostly duplexes housing over 1,000 square feet of living space with double height ceilings & mezzanines. Amenities include elevator, garage parking for a fee, gym, terrace, and massive roof deck with 360 degree views. This particular loft sits on the top floor and has an in unit washer/dryer.
