Responsibilities:

  • Plan, build and launch features and products
  • Software design, architecture and research
  • Collaborate to craft elegant and engaging user experiences
  • Challenge, mentor and learn from your peers
  • Continually broaden and refine your own skills

Qualifications:

  • Keen understanding of software fundamentals such as object-oriented programming, relational databases and revision control
  • Fluent in Ruby and excellent knowledge of Ruby on Rails; if lacking, demonstrate why you’re a quick study
  • Great with databases (Mongo experience a plus)
  • Solid experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (jQuery a plus)
  • Portfolio of work (open source, commercial, personal) you can demonstrate
  • Outstanding references
  • A computer science degree, a related degree, or relevant life experience

Marketing Intern

Naked Apartments is offering a unique opportunity to obtain practical experience in online content creation, social media and interactive marketing.

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual, with a passion for writing and marketing, to assist with our blog, marketing initiatives and social media accounts.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in, or a graduate of, college
  • A commitment of 10 hours per week for a minimum of 4 months
  • Strong writing skills – you’ll produce one blog post per week
  • Excellent communication skills - you’ll meet directly with customers for research interviews
  • Strong math and analytical abilities - many projects require crunching numbers
  • Proven track record of completing projects on time
  • Experience with Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter
  • Able to commute into Manhattan once every two weeks (on a weekday)
