Life in New York is hard; your apartment seach shouldnt be.
Agent Bio:
Valoneecia Tolbert began her professional real estate career in property management for a REIT luxury property. She then worked in the world of corporate short-term housing before realizing she wanted to help her clients in a more meaningful way and feel a greater sense of community. This inspired Valoneecia to became a real estate broker, who's since been known as the go-to resource for perfect homes and hands-on partner for many loyal clients.
In her personal real estate journey, Val herself is a transplant to New York, so she understands the complications and frustrations that are inherent in a move to a new city, or a new neighborhood. Originally from Austin, Texas, she holds a BFA from Texas State University at San Marcos. Val has lived in New York City for over seven years in Astoria, Queens, as well as Bedford Stuyvesant and Park Slope South in Brooklyn. She is extremely patient and attentive during your quest for that special home anywhere in NYC.
Lovingly referred to as the "Apartment Fairy" by many of her clients, Val obviously has achieved great success matching people to perfect properties. She is optimistic, open, and tireless in her work ethic to make sure you have not just want you want in a home, but what you really need. "I make this process easy by guiding you through the steps of the search and transaction so you know what to expect, and are well prepared moving forward."
Prior to entering real estate, Val also worked for a non-profit theatre in season sales and client care. In her spare time, she loves finding new Off-Broadway shows, enjoys good movies, and never tires of shopping in the city.
The landlord seemed to know her well and spoke highly of her and we had leases within 2 days.
She did charge a fee, which she told us about in advance, but after all of the high level customer service we received (and after having some HORRIBLE experiences with other brokers, we didn't even try to low-ball the fee)
So.. all in all: Val kicks ass. Becca and I have a hot new pad, I discovered a different neighborhood and we have an apartment twice as big as what we had before.
Just Awesome! Two enthusiastic thumbs up!
