Tim Torres

Simply put, Tim is the BEST. He is extremely personable and easy to work with. He really cares about each and every one of his clients. Unlike some of the other brokers I worked with, I never felt pressured or smothered working with him.

I’d never gotten my own place before so I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into. Tim took the time to explain all the fees, procedures, and options. He also took the time to listen to what I wanted in an apartment. I started my apartment search a little too early, but Tim still took me out viewing apartments just to get a better feel for what I liked and didn’t like, so when apartments that fit me became available, for my move-in date, he would pull the listings aside and arrange a time for us to go see several of them in one day. My work schedule was absolutely terrible, but Tim went above and beyond just to make sure we could plan showings that worked for me.

I just signed a lease for a beautiful apartment which meets ALL of the criteria I was looking for. I seriously could not be happier with the service I received from Tim. I absolutely will use him again in the future and recommend him to anyone looking for a place to live.

Tim Torres is an excellent real estate agent. I spent months looking for a decent apartment in Queens in my price range and the process was frustrating. About a month ago I inquired about an apartment on the site and literally an hour or so later Tim called and scheduled to see me on a Sunday, my only day off. He spent the next three weeks driving me all over Queens until I found my ideal apartment last week. I told Tim that I wanted to apply for the studio in Forest Hills that we had seen that day and he said that he would make sure I got the place and he delivered. Four days after submitting my application Tim delivered the lease to my home. He made numerous trips to my home during that time to collect all the necessary paper work. I get my keys April 1st and I can't wait. The first day I meet Tim he said that he was going to keep showing me apartments until we found the one. When I am ready to buy a place in the future I will contact Tim again because I know that he will find me my dream home just as he found my ideal apartment.

This review was long overdue thanks to my forgetful memory! I would also like to mention I almost never write reviews on anything, whether it was positive or negative, but I definitely had to write this one. It may end up being a bit lengthy, so if you don't have time please redirect to the last paragraph!

So after I ended 5 years of service in the military, I moved back to NY to finish my degree. I temporarily stayed with the parents until I was able to get back on my feet and find a place of my own. I was very skeptical of brokers but I finally gave in after a few months of looking... The first few brokers I found enforced my skepticism; I was tired of being misled and waste my time. Thankfully, I finally found Tim Torres on nakedapartments.com. He contacted me within a few hours later (other brokers took at least one day to respond, if they even responded at all) and immediately started working with me and gave me options with the price range I had. Within the next few days I met with him and visited the different rentals, and even went back to a few of the same ones because of my indecisiveness, which he was more than happy to do. He was very flexible, accommodating and patient with me since I had a hectic schedule at the moment. I ended up wanting a higher priced rental that was a bit out of my desired price range but Tim was able to talk to the management to lower the rent a bit after a few days of negotiating. I decided to take the rental and filled out all the paperwork; I was finally done, the search was over!

A few days later I received a phone call from the management regarding their pet policy; they allowed pets but not over 25lbs. My dog was over the limit and I was unable to keep him at the apartment if I did decide to take the rental. To be without my dog was out of the question. After I left the military, transitioning back to civilian life was extremely difficult for me especially because I just ended a tour in Afghanistan. I got a dog to help me cope and he is the reason I am back on my feet again. Tim, being the knowledgeable broker that he is, informed me that my dog can be qualified as a companion pet (which overrides the pet policy) if I was able to provide documentation from my doctor of my current condition and that my dog was essential to my recovery. Fast forward to today, I am typing this review 2 months after I've moved into the apartment with my dog snoring nearby, very happy with where I am at.

I am grateful for Tim because I would have given up at the beginning when the rental was out of my desired price range. He fought for me to get the best price for the rental as he possibly could, and even helped me keep my dog who means the world to me. He is a dedicated professional, knowledgeable, and most of all compassionate about his duties to his clients. Tim is highly recommended and I wish him the best. Thank you Tim.

Tim started out great but after he showed me some apartments I never heard from him again. The first time he showed me some apartments everything he showed me was way over the budget I discussed with him prior. I emailed him and told him I was ready and we were supposed to go out and view apartments again I never heard from him again. Very insensitive to your needs as a client. I thought we connected I explained my situation to him about moving and the situation concerning my children and to not respond says I don't care. If you have a serious situation and need to move fast Tim will waste your time having you believe that he will assist when all he is concerned about is high priced rentals.

Tim was available at all times, responding to every question we had about the apartments and options. Excellent service!

Overall service was outstanding. I found the broker to be respectfully and professional . He listened to our comments as we viewed apartments and adjusted the search accordingly. I highly recommend Tim Torres and plan on using his services in a year or so when we are ready to purchase a property.

It was great working with Tim. We had seen a number of apartments in Queens before contacting him, and he made sure that he knew exactly what we were looking for (and what we didn't want) in our first conversation. He did a ton of legwork to find us an apartment that fit our most important criteria and did so with a positive attitude. I felt that we could really trust his judgement and that he had our best interests in mind, and also that he wouldn't pressure us into an apartment that we weren't sold on.

We signed the lease for an apartment in Sunnyside two days after Hurricane Sandy hit, when we were still without power, mass transit was at a standstill, and any sane person would stay off the roads—but he still made the trip out and we got our apartment. Tim was professional, honest, enthusiastic, and extremely responsive throughout the process. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for an apartment in New York City. Thank you!

Tim was amazing. I'm not a local New Yorker, but Tim went out of his way to find places that met my specific needs, then took pictures and video recordings for me. I trusted his opinion and don't regret it at all! He went above and beyond his duty to ensure I got the apartment I wanted and made sure I would never have to pay more than I needed to. He made certain that all the t's are crossed i's with my apartment management and that I was happy after I settled in. He has a great attitude, is accommodating, trustworthy, and reliable! I recommend him 100%!

Tim was the definition of professionalism. He called me minutes after I reached out and worked around my schedule to set up an appointment to see the apartment I was interested in. Throughout the process, he was friendly, professional, and informative. He always took the time to show me various locations to allow options for me but was still on target of what I wanted. He provided great insights to each building (pros and cons) and made sure my requests were still within the range. His service was far beyond what I expected and was very professional.
