I had lived in Manhattan for 7 years until I got pretty serious with my boyfriend and he asked me to move in with him in Jersey City. Well 3 months later and guess what he turned into a complete you know what. I looked at a few apartments here on Naked and I sent a few tester emails to agents. Thomas was the first to respond. At first I told him I wanted to find a no fee apartment but he explained that the no fee apartments in Manhattan were few and far between and while they did indeed exist they were usually less than desirable. He took me out to see some places the day after we first spoke and I found my dream apartment in Murray Hill where lo and behold Thomas grew up. I was asking him a bunch of questions about the process and he said let us go sit down somewhere and so we did at the Gemini Diner on 35th street where he explained in detail the application process, the neighborhood, even the effects of Sandy on the hospitals in the area. I still was unsure if this dream apartment was the place for me because it cost 550 dollars more a month than my previous place I had lived in just 4 months earlier. Why oh why did I give up my rent stabilized 1 bedroom on 67th street?! I told him I would like to see the Upper East side where he explained one could find great value for the dollar. 2 days after the first showing and there we were on 1st avenue and 87th street where I found a great 1 bedroom for 250 dollars less than the 1 in Murray Hill and the same size to boot! I told him I wanted to see the place on 35th street 1 more time.. We hailed a cab and away we went! Even though it was a lot more than I had been paying before I just knew it was the place for me. He submitted my paperwork and got me approved in a day. 2 days after I had made my choice I was signing a lease and very happy with my decision. He could have pushed me into renting a place after the first night but he took me out again because I was unsure. Highly recommended and as they say on Ebay, A+++

I rented an apartment from this agent.
