Theo is a pleasure to work with. He has found me two great apartments in Williamsburg in the past four years. I wouldn't contact anyone else.

Theo was very responsive and generally helpful and pleasant for me and my roommate. He showed us a place that we were in love with, but there were some problems. When we viewed the apartment, Theo told us we could meet the landlord. Apparently the landlord was willing to knock off some rent if we paid in cash every month--a nice offer, but somewhat dodgy. We just wanted to check that he wasn't too suspicious of a character. When we asked to schedule that meeting later, Theo then told us it could not happen until we were sitting down to sign the lease. I know this isn't crazy, since landlords can't meet every prospective tenant, but that should have been said upfront.

Worse, it turns out that he was trying to rent us an apartment in a building with no Certificate of Occupancy. When we asked why this was, he never responded. The property is still listed.

I do not know if the majority of these problems were beyond Theo's control, but to me, a broker is supposed to help you find the best apartment possible for your needs. A broker's job is NOT to rent you any available apartment, even if the city of New York hasn't licensed it to be inhabited.

P.S. Why is it that the only reviews naked apartment has of brokers seem to be positive? Not to say that many of these brokers aren't actually fantastic, but people are pissy so there will almost always be some less giddy reviews. Makes me slightly suspicious.

Theo helped my roommates and I find a great apartment in Greenpoint/Williamsburg. He was very responsive and friendly and helped us lock in the lease quickly. It was a pleasure to work with Theo and his colleagues at Capri Jet. He's really upbeat and wears cool shirts!

Theo was enthusiastic and helpful throughout our entire process. Among many terrible or disinterested brokers we worked with, he stood out as being completely up front and transparent about the process and actually caring about us finding a good place to live. If you're looking for a place in North Brooklyn, go to him and his great coworkers at Capri Jet first.

My boyfriend and I spent 8 weeks dealing with unscrupulous and dishonest brokers during our search for a 1-bedroom apartment in Williamsburg/Greenpoint.

Then we met Theo. He was willing to work with us and discuss several options within our budget. He was prompt, courteous and determined to help us find our dream apartment. Eventually he helped us find a great place in Williamsburg and quickly processed all the paperwork so we could sign a lease within a day.

I definitely recommend that people looking for places in North Brooklyn contact Theo for a good selection of reasonable priced apartments and a fair and enjoyable experience.
