I just rented an apartment with Terry's help. I was flying in for just a few days to find a place, moving from out-of-state, a new hire without a guarantor, and had a move-in date less than 2 weeks away. Terry bent over backwards to accommodate my (admittedly complicated) situation.

He worked with me beforehand to ensure that all of my paperwork would be in order. He also cleared his schedule for me (given the flying-in status) - having worked with other brokers who couldn't get off the phone trying to land other deals the whole time I was with them, I very much appreciated this. His exhaustive knowledge of the neighborhoods I was looking at (Murray Hill, Midtown East) was incredibly valuable to me as a person not very familiar with New York. I found an apartment within 3 hours with him, because he showed me EXACTLY what I was looking for - not trying to sell me on things way out of my price range, not trying to push me towards apartments that lacked something I was looking for. I looked at places ranging from +/-$300/mo from my goal price - but anything over $100/mo more than my goal was to say, "I think you should get that apartment that cost $300/mo less, because it does better than this expensive apartment on XYZ with a much better price."

Even better, the management company that I ended up with started requesting a complicated list of additional/unusual paperwork after I had already left the city, which led to a delay of nearly a week on getting approved for my lease (i.e. within days of me moving there). Terry called me daily or multiple times a day with status updates, shuffled all of the strange requests in my absence, and leaned on the management to make sure they completed everything on time. In the end, I got a great apartment with (by New York standards) minimal fuss.

I came into this process expecting to get ripped off. Instead, I could not be more pleased, and cannot recommend Terry highly enough.
