Originally from Yokohama Japan, Susumu Fujita arrived to NYC as an Architecture student in 1999. He now calls NYC his second hometown. Prior to joining Hecht Group, Susumu pursued his passion and entered a career in Architecture. With years of his experience as both an Architectural/Interior Designer and hands-on Builder, his knowledge of NYC buildings extends to their beauty and functionality as well as sustainability.
Ready for a change, Susumu decided that becoming a Real Estate Agent would allow him to successfully combine his expertise of design and customer service and apply this to his client’s needs of finding the perfect property in NYC.
He understands that finding a new home is not only about square footage and price and Susumu is not satisfied with his mission unless his clients are happy with their new home. I liked how he wasn't trying to sell me every apt we went to and would call a spade a spade. Some apts are just not good and hwouldn't sugar coat it like most brokers. If it was good he said so. If he thought I could do better he would as well.
Susumu also was a hard worker, even running around town during the day while I was at work and letting me know what he thought about places.
Overall it didn't work out, largely bc of my budget and desire to be in Chelsea. Ultimately, I had to change neighborhoods and found a No Fee apt by using a leasing office.
