Sarah's Bio:
While originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Sarah spent much of her youth traveling abroad and living in some very unique destinations. “My father was an economic consultant and brought the family along to Rowanda and Albania so we saw the direct relationship of urban planning and economic security in these countries,” she says. “It gave me a tremendous sense of respect for the time and resources of others who make sacrifices to buy their piece of the American Dream.”
Sarah helps clients see the big picture when evaluating neighborhoods and buildings. “I feel like I am helping them to tell the story of who they are,” Sarah says. Sarah’s background in interior design stems from running both the San Francisco and New York branch’s of a home staging, interior design, and home furnishings company, (Studio D). One of the biggest assets of having a previous interior designer as your broker, is that interior designers are trained to interpret a client’s personality and verbal desires, into a space. Many times we don’t know exactly what we want until we start looking, but having someone with experience in this technique, can really help jump start the process. “I am notorious for finding those hidden gems in neighborhoods they can grow in.”
A natural adventurer, Sarah is always on the go. “This city is about juxtaposition—I’m not into cookie cutter high rises but I love seeing how people decorate townhomes and brownstones with such charm and attention to detail. It’s a lot like how New Yorkers dress—there’s always a twist of some sort to personalize it.”
Sarah’s extensive knowledge of the city and her appreciation for its wide ranging architectural vocabulary is a help for anyone looking to find the ideal setting for their New York story.
