I'm generally skeptical of real estate agents -- I've had bad experiences in the past, and have often felt like they didn't have my interests in mind. Sam was definitely an advocate for me -- he offered great advice and genuinely cared about my concerns and worked very hard on my behalf. I would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone looking to rent in the Upper West Side.

This will be my third year renting in the Upper West Side, and I've worked with two other brokers previously who had completely overwhelmed me to say the least. Being a doctor I have very little time to spare and Sam got straight to the point. Showed me literally three apartments all which sparked my interest, no beating around the bush, and one of those apartments being "the one". The least I could do was give him this review. Rewind a couple of months: my husband, my two small dogs and I needed to relocate from North Carolina to NY, and after the initial excitement over living somewhere new, we were struck with terror at the prospect of finding a place to live in a city that neither one of us knew very well. We spent hours searching on Craigslist, looking at various housing listing websites, finally finding Naked Apartments which comes highly recommended by Time Out and The New York Times! However we were getting increasingly discouraged at the prospect of finding a suitable apartment from afar. Running across the reviews for City Stop Realty we did a quick search on the website and felt they were legit. Well, I can't tell you how thankful we are that we dialed that number. In our initial phone conversation, Sam took time asking questions about our requirements and actually listening to what we said. We had several specific needs. Over the course of two trips to the Upper West Side area, Sam took us around to a *wide* range of different properties, all of which fit the basic criteria we had laid out. Having previously dealt with brokers in New York City, I was absolutely shocked to find that he had actually listened to what I said, and that he realized that if I was happy, that meant more likely business for him. I never once felt pressured, ignored, or that I was being annoying. Instead, he showed us different sizes, styles and different prices. Presently, we are currently sitting in our new Upper West Side apartment great location and great ambiance. I honestly didn't think we were going to find anything at one point. Overwhelmed by all the options. I honestly couldn't recommend Sam's service more highly.

Sam is in this business for the long haul. He is going to do his best for the client now because that is the most assured reason he will see that client again. His recommendations on pricing, presentation, and promotion are solid and always in the best interest of his client. He is easy to work with, and he always is available to his client. My son, who does both custom building and remodeling, and I, as a private investor, have used Sam for several deals and have never been disappointed in the results.

Yes I did indeed rent an apartment from Sam. You cant help but trust him. His confidence and not so salesman like persona really helped me feel at ease. My situation wasn't so black and white and he definitely put a whole new understanding to how a broker helps makes it happen.

I saw so many apartments with Sam and he never lost his cool. In the end patience was a virtue on his part and persistence on mine. I found a great place.

Sam really made this a smooth process. The landlords office was a little tuff but Sam stayed calm which kept me calm and we worked out all the kinks.

Sam responded quickly to my request to view the apartment. He listened to what I wanted and respected my opinion. I was relocating and he really helped me to find all the information locally that I needed as well. But what I really liked was his confidence. It really showed his experience and made me feel relaxed since finding an apartment in NYC was much more overwhelming then I thought it would be.
