Native New Yorker Rudy Leal understands that finding a home in New York City can be one of the most challenging things in the world. “Finding an apartment or buying a house in New York City can be a time-consuming chore. My mission is to make the process as smooth and painless as possible.” He considers himself more of a consultant than a sales person. That’s because Rudy isn’t focused merely on making the sale; rather, he’s more concerned about providing the best possible service for his clients during the entire real estate process. “When someone walks into an apartment for the first time, they know within 10-15 seconds if they’ve found a place they love; my job isn’t to sell them on the place but to provide them with as much information as possible so they can make the most well-informed decision they possibly can.”

Listening, understanding and being patient are qualities Rudy puts forth with every client so they understand that his mission is not to push them into a decision, but to help them come to one naturally; his greatest desire at the end of the day is to make sure his clients are completely gratified and excited with their decision, and they’ve found something they truly wanted in a home. To that end, Rudy takes pride in the fact that most of his clients end up staying in their homes for the long-term because they’re so deeply satisified.

Prior to entering real estate, Rudy spent over 5 years in recruitment advertising and over 6 years in IT recruiting. Both careers required a strong focus on being client-service oriented; as a result, he knows that developing relationships is of the utmost importance, as well as valuing peoples’ time and providing them with a good product. Rudy has been extremely successful in the real estate business by putting his client’s priorities first and listening and understanding to what they want. The approach he takes is simple: Work hard, be honest and transparent, and treat everyone the way he would want to be treated. He notes, "By being professional, honest and respectful my clients are able to trust that I will deliver successful results.” What he values most about his work is the relationships he forms with clients built on trust, commitment and respect for your needs.

Born and raised on the Upper West Side, Rudy has lived all over this city, from a deluxe hi-rise in the sky (to quote George Jefferson) on E. 86th St to a loft on Ludlow St in the Lower East Side, and everywhere in between. As a result, Rudy has extensive knowledge of almost every neighborhood in the city; you’ll often hear him lamenting the loss of an old-time mom-and-pop store as this city has become gentrified. He has a particular focus on apartments on the Upper West Side, with fantastic relationships with all the major landlords and extensive knowledge of all the “hidden gems” that exist there. He enjoys running, Cleveland Browns football (yes, you can feel sorry for him) and spending time with his two adorable Cocker Spaniels, Spencer and Charley.
