Portia Joseph likes to say that real estate “fell into her lap” thanks to a friend, the CEO of the first brokerage firm she worked for, who convinced her to get her license. She has been in awe with the industry ever since, and considers real estate her long-term career.

In her 10 years in New York City, Portia gained diverse experience in fashion, hospitality and marketing, honing many skills that lend to her effectiveness in real estate: sales, social interaction, customer service, guest relations, networking, building relationships, assembling teams, managing people, organizing details, and exuding a genuine sense of consideration and honesty.

Originally from Guyana, Portia attended Brooklyn College where she earned an AA in Liberal Arts and a BA in History and Politics. She is a hardworking, patient and efficient professional who understands the hand-holding and guidance needed from an agent when a client is in the throes of a home search in this big city.
