Born in Germany and raised in Turkey, Onur Buyukdegirmenci started his career in finance as an auditor at Deloitte, building his foundation for corporate understanding, then followed his passion for food in the hospitality industry. He has always strived to work at organizations aiming for excellence including award winning and trend setting companies such as Eleven Madison Park (“The Best Restaurant in North America”), Jean Georges (“New York Times 4-Star” and “Michelin 3-Star” Restaurant), and Mardan Palace (“The Best Luxurious Resort In The World” 2).
Onur is licensed as a Real Estate Agent in New York. He holds his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Finance from Marmara University, Istanbul and also has an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts which he graduated with "Honors" from the Culinary Institute of America, New York.
During his careers one motto guided him the most above all “The difference between something good and something great is attention to detail”. Onur is also a member of Research Chefs Association. He participates in events aimed for fighting leukemia and tries to actively engage in charity events which helps research for a better future.
When not working, he cooks for his friends and family and spends most of his time reading biographies about people who shaped our modern world. He is also interested in interior design and has his own designs at home to use the living space efficiently.
