This was my first time using a broker in New York and I have to say that she was a shark, in a very good way. I was looking online all day to set up appointments with brokers and when I called her when it was already 4 in the afternoon, she managed to have an assistant show me an apartment that I ended up renting.
She works very quick and she will let you know to feel a sense of urgency, because others can apply.
I'm very pleased how she handled my application and her patience with me being new at this.
She was also reachable trough text and emails all hours of the day. Not that I would contact her to late.
Overal i'm satisfied with her service and I would recommend her to anyone!

Narina was very helpful not only in finding me a good apartment, but also in assisting me with the paperwork I needed to sign the lease. It was a pleasure to work with her, she is very dedicated to her clients.

I had the pleasure of working with Narina in my apartment search. I found myself looking for an apartment, with a time crunch and a limited budget, both of which felt like impossibilities when searching for an apartment in NYC. But my big issues were not a problem for Narina. She lined up multiple quality apartments for me to see, was timely in all of her communications with me, and remained calm and patient while explaining the complicated NYC real estate market. Narina found me the apartment of my dreams, roomy and rent stabilized. I can't give enough positive praise for her assistance, work ethic, and dedication to her clients.

Narina Grigoryan is the Fairy Godmother of NYC real estate. After less than prompt responses by a number of realtors I found online, I stumbled upon Narina on Naked Apartments. She was listed on one of the apartments I liked, so I decided to check her out. Googling her name led to many positive reviews--and I knew right away she was MY agent. I called her, and we talked for about 10 minutes. My budget wasn't very big, but she said we could work with it. I let her know that I was not agent shopping, and gave her my loyalty from our first call. Within 24 hours, she had 5 or 6 apartments lined up. We wandered the city--and she was a trooper. Nothing was right. I did't like the lighting, the space was too small or the rent too high. This went on for two days, until she led me to my new home on Orchard street--on the border of Chinatown and the LES.

Her patience was endless--and her work ethic extended way after her office hours. She called me every night and let me know what was available. She texted to say hi. Two months after the deal and she stays in touch. She even mailed me a Christmas card!

At the lease signing--there were some issues--which led me out of the office. However, Narina knew how much I loved the apartment--and renegotiated terms. I had the keys to my new home 24 hours later.

Narina is an awesome agent who will (literally) go the extra mile to find your next new home. She is hilarious, and easy to spend apartment hunting hours with. She starts as your agent and ends as your friend. I highly recommend her!

I just wanted to write about the excellent service Narina provided me in my search for an apartment. I had just moved to New York from California and tried for weeks on my own to find an apartment with no luck. I called Narina and after showing me a couple apartments I was signing a lease by the end of the first day. She is extremely profession and willing to go the distance to help out her clients. She walked me through all the necessary steps and told me exactly what I needed to provide in order to get my application approved. She is very knowledge and very good at her job. I would totally recommend her to anyone who is considering looking for a broker. She is extremely courteous and listens to exactly what you need. I had a great experience overall.

Hurricane Sandy left me and my wife homeless..... We are so lucky to have used NakedApartments to find Narina.  We were initially against fees but SOMETIMES THE FEE IS WORTH IT.  We contacted her because she had so many good reviews and they were correct... Narina is THE BEST!

She communicated via text at all hours of the day.  The night before the viewings I sent Narina a few buildings we were interested in. She got on the phone first thing in the morning and set up appointments with these buildings. Other agents I contacted were unable to accomplish this.... I am surprised that she can make things happen on such short notice, but it is reflective and representative of the experience.  She has ACCESS!

Affable: 
When I met with Narina I was immediately impressed with her personality.  She comes across as very serious about her work but caring or jovial at the right moments.  She explained every article of paperwork and gave explicit details of what is expected of me and my wife and what she is expected to deliver.  As a doctor I have to explain consent forms so I know it can be challenging to get the point across without seeming condescending or worse, dismissive.  Everyone in her office and out with landlords and rental offices seems to know and like her......

Able: 
.....and they probably like her because she gets results.  She is also multilingual and was speaking Russian with the renter.  She was able to negotiate a very satisfying deal, probably because she can be genial and approachable in someone's own language.  She is also aware of the several points of negotiation (monthly rent, fee, amenities, length of contract, etc) and identifies ways to make the renter feel comfortable. She is very fair and accomodating and willing to negotiate whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable. 

Point #2: As mentioned, we were homeless after the Hurricane, but not completely desperate as we had accommodations provided by FEMA.  However, we had a previously planned vacation and were leaving in 48 hours so we preferred a quick deal.  She called to let us know we were approved (and no longer homeless) right before our international flight!!  That means she accomplished all of this WITHIN 24 HOURS!!!!!!

Point #3: I had probably seen 20 to 30 apartments over the week after Sandy.  Luckily, we were able to stay in a FEMA sponsored hotel.  I had been unimpressed and disappointed up to then and I thought she would show us typical places in our price range and likely some places we had already seen.  I was shocked at the first viewing of a gorgeous apartment that we would definitely consider.  Still I remained skeptical that she could keep it up. By the third or fourth, I was a believer.  Narina only shows apartments that you will consider a JOY to live in. Maybe she applies the philosophy of gift giving that you should feel a slight bit of envy of the receiver after giving.  This is the mark of a very unselfish person and someone with a good heart.  Narina cares about her reputation, which is why I know she is reading this. Narina made the process of finding a new home not only simple, but fun! She is a true professional and listens to your needs. She found me the perfect place on not only on the first day, but on the first apartment!! Her courteous nature didn't stop there as she accompanied me to sign the lease, found reasonably priced movers for me and continues to check in. There is no need to look at another broker as Narina goes out of her way to work around your schedule and find exactly what you're looking for and where you are looking! I will definiteky recommend her to my friends, coworkers and anyone looking to move. She will all be the person I trust to help negotiate my buying an apartment in a couple of years. Narina is GREAT! Before meeting her I had seen a couple of horrible apartments but as soon as I got in contact with Narina (only a couple of hours after I first spoke to her over the phone) she had something great to show me. We met and the place was perfect! She took the time to listen to what I actually needed and found me an appropriate place in no time. She is a pleasure to work with, very caring and sweet to her customers. Narina made my experience of renting an apartment in NYC as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Narina is amazing! I was reluctant to use a broker in my apartment search due to the reputations that real estate brokers tend to have especially in NYC. I had a difficult time finding a broker and had reached out to several ones but their approach and general attitude was not great. All this changed when I reached out to Narina. I did a fair bit of research before I signed up with Narina. I was looking for someone patient, understanding and who would be able to fully grasp what I needed and not desired. New York is an urban jungle and aaprtment hunting can be time consuming and hectic. With Narina, I found an ideal place on the 4th try and believe me people spend a lot more time looking and face a lot of rejections before they land a place suitable for them. I would recommend Narina to anyone looking for an apartment in New York as I have been completely satisfied with her services. Narina was great. Very knowledgeable about the NYC apartment scene. As a newbie to apartment hunting in the city I was unfamiliar with the realities of landing a place and wasn't even sure which neighborhood was right for me. Narina has a very no-nonsense personality and will tell you everything you need to know to find a place as soon as you'd like. With a limited amount of time to find somewhere, Narina was able to show me an impressive number of high-quality selections, all within my price range. I was truly impressed with the extent to which she was willing to work hard for me.

I was definitely tempted by the promises of the no-fee apartment hunting services, and, frankly, a broker's fee is no small expense. But you're missing out on a lot of cheaper, quality apartments if you dismiss the broker agencies entirely. Everything I was shown was top-quality and very livable, and the fact that I'm paying $200 per month below the market average for my area means I make up the cost of the fee. I would highly recommend going with Citi Habitats and requesting help from Narina in particular.

Narina is there to help. She has access to A LOT OF, if not all, apartments in NYC. I am relocating from California. She definitely brings me invaluable information on transition to our new life in Manhattan. Although I did not rent an apartment from her this time, I would definitely turn to her for future housing needs and also recommend her to anyone who is in need of an apartment in NYC area.
