Bond New York

Monica Witchel brings over 12 years of business experience as an analytical problem solver in the investment industry to her career as a real estate salesperson. Her friendly, professional demeanor and her driven, can do attitude has brought her noteworthy success in finding homes for those who use her services. Monica has a firm grasp of the real estate market and is able to explain the New York City rental and sales processes in detail, offering clarity to often-complicated subjects. With a dedication to her clients, she instills confidence in them as she deftly navigates them though the hurdles of finding a home.    Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, Monica grew up in Manhattan. She earned her BA in art history and anthropology at New York University. Upon graduation, she worked at Merrill Lynch as an analyst covering the telecom sector for over four years. She went on to work in Human Resources at Marsh & McLennan covering specialized risk and then in the asset management department at Morgan Stanley covering fixed income and global equity.    After buying a home in Rhinebeck, NY, Monica invested in real estate in Maryland and bought and sold several properties there. From these experiences, she realized she had a knack for real estate and decided to apply her personal and analytical skills to renting and selling homes. Because she knows firsthand how frightening and lengthy the sales process can be, it brings her great satisfaction to support others in the process of achieving a completed transaction.    Monica is a certified Professional of Human Resources (PHR). In her free time, she enjoys working out and playing golf. She also loves to go antiquing and is particularly fond of traveling.  Monica lives in NYC on the Upper West Side with her husband and daughter.   Read my reviews!!     Katherine Collins / 10 Stars   "Great team to help in apartment search. Highly recommended."   Alexander Eney   "Monica and Rebecca were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and personable. They were both very responsive, excellent about following up, and really did their best to listen to what we were looking for in an apartment.   Our only criticism would be that some of the apartments we saw were out of our max budget that we set out, especially once you factored in the broker fee. However, it was still nice to see a few more expensive options in order to get a better idea of what were realistic expectations for what we could find.   It was great working with them, and although it didn't work out this time, I would be happy to do so again in the future."   Whitney Ross   "I've worked with my fair share of brokers during my time in NY, but this is by far the BEST experience I have ever had. Greg, Monica, and Rebecca were incredibly helpful, and made sure I found the perfect apartment for me. They found a broad selection, while still tailored to my specifications, and cheerfully spent two days walking all over NY to find me the right apartment. Highly recommended!"   Josef Schelch - 10 Stars   It was great working with Monica Witchel and her team. We found a place that met our needs in the first trip out to view places!

Bond Agency was the worst. Their business model stinks. They gave me the impression we had appts to view the apartments I had specifically inquired about. I got to their office, and they had no appointments set up. Will NEVER use or view a listing of theirs again. Complete waste of time.

I did not rent an apartment from this agent.

Hi Laura,
You came in on a Saturday in the beginning of June, and while I shook your hand, I never met with you. You met with an associate of mine instead. You informed him that you had a 80 lb dog, and a possible October move date. We did not have any listings that matched your flexible but anticipated move date at that time. He also told you that if you came back in September, we would have many more listings to show you. I would be happy to help you then. Bond is a GREAT company!!
