Luis Vazquez

This guy was a no-show. Had me standing on a Clinton Hill corner for 30 minutes and ... nothing. We had set up the viewing the day before, exchanging at least 5 emails in the process. On the off-chance he had gotten into an accident or something, I continued to email/text/call for the next 2 days. He is everything that is wrong with renting in NYC.

Luis is a fantastic agent. After my initial inquiry, he took the time to call and ask, in detail, about me, my interests, and about what I was looking for in a home. During our first meeting together, he walked me from one property to the next, through various neighborhoods, pointing out important things about each area. He knows Brooklyn intimately, and is passionate about finding potential renters a home, not just making the sell. His vision for a market and a process that is otherwise incredibly frustrating is innovative, passionate, and caring. I'd recommend him highly to anyone looking for a new place in Brooklyn.

Luis is a very irresponsible broker. He replied to my first email, scheduling an appointment with me. However, when I emailed back to confirm, I never heard back from him. He never called, or texted and never returned or reply in ANY form. If he was ill or MIA of any type, then at least he could have replied and told me so. Meanwhile he replied to my friend's email about the initial inquiry and does the same thing - never replies ever again.

If he really is a great broker, like what every one else had said, then this kind of act is very UNACCEPTABLE.

Luis is an awesome broker. He listens to what you want and will not push you on a neighborhood or apartment that you are not interested in. He was totally flexible and understanding during my Search. Smart and with a great knowledge of the Brooklyn area he makes find a new place a breeze.

It was great meeting Luis as he is a knowledgeable, professional and friendly broker. He understood what we were looking for and was very eager to help us find the right fit.

Luis was an awesome broker to work with (and equally important, a great person) and he worked very hard to help us find an apartment. Ultimately, we were beat out by someone with a much better income than ours and so we didn't get the apartment we had applied for with him, but I would work with him again anytime. Luis was extremely courteous and understanding, he responded to calls, texts and e-mails very quickly and was always punctual about getting to meetings. He walked us through the application process with care for important details and ways to make our application stand out, which helped us to eventually submit a successful application. When we didn't get the apartment we had applied for with Luis he was quick to offer to return our initial deposit without us even having to ask and also immediately sent us new listings to look at. I couldn't recommend Luis highly enough!

Very friendly and quick to respond!

My family and I are relocating from SF to NYC next month. Luis unfortunately caught me on a day when I was VERY worried about finding a place before we move. He was kind, helpful, and patient with me, easily answering all my questions. Even though we have not yet found a place I would recommend Luis any day!

I wrote to Luis due to his stellar reviews. I received an email from him, to which I responded and then never heard back. It's too bad, we are seriously looking for an apartment and hoped he could help us.

Luis was very attentive to our needs and listened carefully to what we were looking for in an apartment. He's also very at keeping in touch and letting you know as new apartments come into his hands. Very recommended!

Super awesome guy. Very quick to reply and show me the apt. Although I didn't end up taking it, being new to NY, the rental process is way different than in L.A. and he had very informative answers, wasn't trying to swindle or anything. It was an awesome first time realtor experience.

Rapid and courteous response

Luis was cordial, prompt and very attentive. I thought the properties he showed us represented a good range of what we were looking for and his customer service was immense. He also answered all of our probing questions. Definitely expect honesty from this guy. He is good.

Luis is simply a really good guy and a very knowledgable broker. He is familiar with the nuances of the neighborhoods that he works in ( I believe they are mostly Park Slope, Prospect Hts, Clinton Hill, Ft Green). He is incredibly knowledgable and a really good listener. He asks all of the right questions to find out what a potential tenant wants.  His most commendable trait is his patience. I have to say I probably got on his last nerves by making two appointments several hours apart, one of which was at 9 pm. He was very accommodating even though we end up finding out through critiques of the apartment that my potential roommate and I weren't exactly on the same page about what we were looking for and what we wanted to spend. Blame it on my trying to find a roommate at the end of the month while simultaneously trying to jump on a great deal. Luis however was a class act throughout the ordeal. Even though I didn't take either apartment I would trust Luis's expertise.

Luis was great—he showed us units that matched our interests and was super-friendly. We went with another place, but I'd recommend Luis to friends.

I was kinda skeptical to work with Luis due to the negative review he received on this site, but I liked the apartment too much not to call, plus he seemed to be the only broker on Naked apartments with that listing.

Luis was very accommodating to my schedule the two times we saw apartments. He listened to what I wanted in an apartment & was able to find me exactly what I wanted the next time we went out looking at places. He is very friendly & resourceful as I later found out during the closing stages of my apartment.

All in all not only did I find the place I wanted but also at the price I wanted and not a cent more. Interacting with Luis allowed me to sense the value of actually paying a brokers fee and its benefits.....

As soon as I said I was interested, Luis agreed to meet me and show me the apartment saying it would probably go quickly so I should see it asap! He was prompt and attentive, and I viewed the apartment and said it was a bit out of my price range and he said he would speak with the owner and he was confident he could bring him down because he really wanted to rent the apartment asap. I confirmed that if he came down on the price I would move in in a matter of days.

After 3 WHOLE DAYS of trying to get in touch with this guy, he FINALLY got back to me via text saying that the owner had found someone who would pay the asking price and that it was no longer available and that he was sorry he didn't get back to me in a timely manner. It seems to me like this realtor is only in it for his own commission!! I really loved the apartment and am deeply disappointed that the interaction turned out this way. If it was an honest exchange, it would have been a very pleasant experience.
