I think the reason most people have a bad experience with an overwhelming number of real estate agents can be found right here in the agent bio section. "Joseph studied law", "Gary brings a weath of knowlege from his previous career in the finance industry", "Carey was a successful photographer".  What this means to me is that 9 out of 10 of these people would rather be doing something else, but life threw them a curveball and they're reluctantly, and hopefully temorarily, working in real estate. There's a small group of us that really love our job and wouldn't trade it for anything. I grew up surrounded by real estate, watching my parents open their own Century 21 franchise in NJ when I was 5 years old and build it into one of the most successful real estate agencies in the state of NJ. My dad is still the best real estate agent I know! And so far it's the only profession I can find that mixes elements of architecture, sociology, finance, law, pschology and city planning. It's absolutely fascinating, and yes I feel like a huge nerd for liking my job so much, but that's why my customers keep coming back and referring all their friends to me. So don't be surprised when you email me at 11:45pm and I respond immediately. I just like my job!
