Joaquin Pinkney has been a real estate professional in a career spanning over half a decade. In his career he has done over 400 real estate transactions involving leasing and selling properties in New York City ranging from Brooklyn to Manhattan. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to two very hardworking parents who always emphasized the value of education and hard work while maintaining the principles of honesty, integrity and loyalty while maintaining the fundamentals learned in a religious upbringing.
Joaquin has always has a passion for real estate. However upon graduating from St. John’s University he seized an opportunity to work in the Finance department in SUNY Downstate Medical Center. This led to a 5-year tenure with the institution, which was a great learning experience and led to many great business relationships. During his time of being employed by the hospital, Joaquin’s passion for real estate led to him to attend real estate school after work hours and obtain a license to which had enabled him to began his real estate career. He began by working part-time in Brooklyn with a local broker who specialized in Short-Sale transactions, home sales. Loss-mitigation and assisting people in the community who had government programs find housing. Here he learned the fundamentals of real estate.
Due to the recession in the late 2000’s, lay-offs in his department in the hospital forced him to make the change from a “part-time” real estate agent to a “full-time” real estate. This resulted in him moving to Manhattan to pursue his dream of working full time in the “big-city” to do real estate. His full-time career Century 21, A.C. Lawrence and Citi Habitats. Throughout his career he has seen much success and has many awards based on his production.
As a native New Yorker, Joaquin has an extensive knowledge and affinity towards the city he has called home during his lifetime which has afforded him the opportunity to have a vast knowledge and prowess in Real Estate. One of his preferred adage about New York City is “Here you have access to almost anything from anywhere in the world, and that’s my favorite aspect of living here.”
Cumulatively this has enhanced his ability to aid clients by listening to their needs and making “the right” assessment for their situation based on his experience and real estate market knowledge. This has resulted in many referrals and “repeat business” throughout his career, which he strongly prides himself on and heartily feels is one of the best compliments for his services.
