It's only fair to say that my husband and I did not want to use a broker. After trying to navigate New York City rentals on our own, however, it quickly became apparent that we would have much better luck finding a quality apartment in our price range with a little help.

Greg responded to my initial email within an hour, offering to show me the apartment I had reached out about along with a few others in the area that were within my price range. He was extremely accessible through email, text, and phone calls, and in all our in-person dealings he was very courteous, communicative, and attentive to our questions and needs. We never felt pressured to take a place, which was a refreshing change from most of the brokers we dealt with. We ended up getting the apartment we applied for, and we can't wait to move in! I would highly recommend Greg to anyone looking for a broker in the Manhattan/Astoria area.

When I initially decided to move to New York City from Florida, I knew it was going to be a difficult task and very time consuming. The NYC rental market is far from what I'm used to considering the rent is so inexpensive in Florida compared to NYC. I also knew that I would not get that much time to look for apartments considering I was starting a new job right away and most likely would be working long hours. Needless to say, I was quite concerned. And then came Gregory Crisci at the Spire Group. He wasn't like some of the other NYC brokers looking to make the quick deal, but he actually listened to what I was looking for in an apartment and where I was looking to live. The fact that he actually listened and wasn't looking to make the hard sell was one of the most impressive parts of my experience and completely separated him from everyone else. The first time I went out viewing with Greg, he showed me multiple apartments, but considering it was my first time out with Spire, I didn't really want to make a decision until he was able to show me exactly what I was looking for. Greg wasn't pushy like some of the other brokers I used in the past, but was quite genuine and was really concerned with finding me the right place. It only took a second visit with him to find the perfect apartment for me. Matter of fact, during my second visit with Greg, he actually showed me several apartments which fit my criteria perfectly. That actually made my decision that much harder, but in the end I got the NYC apartment that I always dreamed of getting while back in Florida. Between the initial meeting to the application process, all the way to the lease signing, Greg made me feel extremely welcomed and comfortable. I hope not to move that many times in the near future, but if I do, I will surely use the Spire Group again and refer them to anybody who asks me about Real Estate Brokers in New York City. He completely flaked on his appointment with us. After talking to him on the phone on Friday evening, he said he was going to send me an email to confirm what he just told me. On Saturday morning, I had no email. This morning I discovered he had sent the confirmation message through Naked Apartments, even though I told him to email me directly as I didn't always get messages from Naked Apartments.

When he wasn't at the meeting spot on Saturday at 1pm, I texted 3 texts, called him and emailed. But no response. As a result of Gregory flaking, our entire afternoon was shot as we had blocked 4 hours to look at apartments in Astoria and we ended up not seeing anything.

When I still hadn't heard from him the next evening, I texted him again to make sure everything was ok. Finally, he responded, saying he had had an emergency. While I fully understand that urgent situations, in the mobile world we live in there is no reason someone can't spent 30 seconds to notify of a change of plans. And no response for over 24 hours. When I called him on this convenient excuse, he didn't respond.

Definitely not professional. Avoid this broker.
