Desiree Mullins started going by her nickname, Desi, after she created an acronym she now lives by: Don’t Ever Say Impossible. “Possibilities and options, and being creative to identify them fuel my passion,” she says.
Desi brings this drive and enthusiasm to every real estate client. Her main strength is focusing on what the individual wants and needs by listening, and being accessible for consistent communication to make them comfortable through the process.
“Clients appreciate my willingness to do whatever it takes to help them win, whether it’s overcoming unique challenges as far as getting their application packet completed, preparing them for every step in the transaction, or with a landlord or seller, figuring out what needs to be done to get their units to move.”
Desi specializes in relocation rentals and first-time home buyers, mainly in the neighboring areas of Crown Heights in Brooklyn, and Gramercy/Midtown East in Manhattan. She’s had extensive experience anticipating clients’ needs and working with all ages, from teaching toddlers in a Montessori school to serving clients in restaurants and casinos. Desi previously worked in education, hospitality and retail where she acquired the skills necessary to be successful in real estate. She thoroughly enjoys the challenge of matching customers with homes, and being an asset and advocate for her clients.
Born and raised in Chicago, Desi lived in St. Louis for eight years then moved to Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn in 2012. She currently resides in Crown Heights. Desi is a writer and author, attends Toastmasters and volunteers with New York Cares as a mentor to homeless teens.
