For Chris Mitchell, customer service is top priority. That is the philosophy upon which he has built his success in real estate, as well as other ventures. Whether working with a buyer, seller, renter or investor, Chris' goal is to be your broker for life – the only one you will ever call upon when your real estate needs change and evolve. With a very loyal client base who continually use his services, and the majority of his business consisting of referrals, Chris has made it a point to excel in delivering outstanding services and results.
In addition to working with clients, Chris helps other agents increase their business and enhance service to their clients as Sommerlyn Associates' Director of Sales, where he's responsible for hiring, training and overseeing all transactions. His industry expertise and leadership skills are integral in optimizing the firm's quality of client service, and growing its bottom line.
Originally from Westchester, Chris received a BS degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. He began his career in sales and management at a Fortune 10 company, and by the time he was age 24, had sold $1 billion worth of products plus was overseeing the unit that brought in $145 million in annual revenue. Chris next honed his creative and business mind as a partner/owner of a research-based advertising/branding firm that catered to campaigns for higher-end education and charity/non-profits, and was ultimately purchased by CBS.
Chris transitioned to real estate in 2010, and did a deal his very first day. He has since become known as a specialist in various markets that include the West Side of Manhattan, condos downtown, sponsor sales, townhouse sales and luxury rentals. Though Chris lived on the Upper West Side of Manhattan for many years, he currently calls vibrant Long Island City home. He is an actively involved member of The Cornell Club, an arts lover and member of The Met, a general athlete who enjoys tennis and biking, and an avid reader and movie goer. Chris is conversant in French, can read and write in Latin, plus speaks a little Italian having spent time living in Italy.
