As I'm sure everyone knows, when you're moving to New York apartment hunting can potentially be a nightmare, disaster, terrifying, stressful, painful, financially draining (and every other negative adjective you can think of!) I'd be willing to bet loads of money that had I not come across Carmen's name and phone number on the Rapid website, I would either be miserable in a crappy apartment I was forced to settle for, couch surfing or wasting my savings on an overly-priced hotel during my continued search.

Needless to say Carmen was a gift. She was born and raised in New York - so when it came to having an experienced Broker, she was able to go above and beyond to help me get acquainted with my new area, the trains, etc. She was able to work under extreme time constraints and she never once made me feel bad about texting/calling/asking questions. She assured me that she was happy to help and went to bat for me when it came time to negotiate details with my current Landlord. I'm not kidding when I tell you that the **2ND** apartment Carmen showed me is the one that I am writing this review from. I saw a total of 3 (and the first one she only showed me because I asked to see that unit specifically.) She listened to what I was looking for and what my priorities were (dishwasher, laundry, gym, location, transportation, etc.) and the very next day I had picked my apartment.

I could not be happier where I am. I have all the amenities I desired, more closet space than I could've dreamed of moving to New York, and you should see the size of my patio!! The term "lucky" seems to be an extreme understatement. She was worth more than the Broker-Fee I ended up paying (and trust me, I searched Craiglist for weeks to try to do it on my own and be able to avoid a Broker-Fee.) If you're in need of an apartment, do yourself a favor... skip the other roommate/real estate websites, etc. and just call Carmen.

Carmen was super helpful in my NYC apartment search. I responded to a post that was actually out of her normal area, and she still worked hard to find me the perfect place. Because we were looking at places for a move on a VERY short timeline from out of state, a lot of things had to go perfectly to get a lease signed by my target move-in date. Carmen went out of her way to make sure everything was taken care of and happened on time.
