Bruno knows the rental process thoroughly and prepares his clients for any obstacles that he foresees from the beginning, while always leaving the finishing touches to his fine-tuned ability for negotiation. His practiced experience with the market has gained him the trust of many landlords and allows him to see potential deals that wouldn't occur to other agents. When clients first talk to Bruno Boudjemai, his unaffected candidness in discussing the market gives them the sense that nothing will discourage him from getting them the right apartment. His extensive knowledge of the city, helps to narrow down exactly what they're looking for, his inventive way of working the industry that he knows so well comes through. For over 15 years, Bruno has annually ranked among top agents Bruno says that to find a great apartment in New York, your options in space and price are often determined by area. If you restrict yourself to a specific neighborhood, you're only going to see a certain type of apartment. You will end up being limited to whatever is available in that location, instead of looking according to all of your specifications. Manhattan is only a 13-mile island ... but today, pretty much anywhere has hip neighborhoods; thanks to mass transit you can go everywhere and be in touch with everything else anywhere in this city. If you're open to different neighborhoods, you can get the best deal that's out there. He is new to Naked Apartments but a veternan in the New York City rental market.

Bruno and his team recently helped me and my roomate find and secure our new apartment in NYC. We were working with a tight time-frame and they made it happen. They are unquestionably a smart and efficient agent and I highly recommend AC Lawrence Coldwell Banker if you are looking for an apartment in NYC.

From our first conversation, Bruno took the time to understand our needs, preferences, and expectations. On our tour date, Yeranui (one of Bruno's team) was prepared with a full itinerary of apartments that were in my price range and made sense in light of my job location and demands. She spent an entire day with us traversing the city, checking out many apartments, and helping us evaluate our options as we went along. She was informative and patient, even taking the time to show us what my exact commute would be from various apartments, but was never pushy. She also helped us to ensure that we had all of my paperwork in order before our tour date (which was not easy since we are FRENCH and do not have any securities and stuff...) so that we were able and ready to act fast if we found an apartment we liked in Hells Kitchen. All went according to plan: we applied for an apartment that evening and was approved in a few days.

I was most impressed with their preparation and honest and patient guidance. They never rushed us or tried to influence our decision, but were candid about various apartments and had a vast knowledge of all of the neighborhoods we toured. By the time it was decision time, we felt we were equipped to make a well-informed decision after seeing many options. This sort of service is exactly what we would hope for from a broker.

Finding an apartment in NYC is a daunting task, but this overwhelming experience was made much easier with Bruno's team.

Horrible agent, took and kept an application fee for an application he never submitted. Stay away. Then he claimed to have an apartment coming on the market soon and that I should make an application on it, even without seeing it. So I asked for pictures at least and he proceeded to pretend to not be able to read my email address, and never sent me any pictures, even when I sent him an email so he would have my email address. Again, stay away.

A very disappointing experience. We got the classic "Oh, wouldn't you know, the apartment you saw was truly one of a kind and was just rented an hour ago, and we don't have any others like it unless you go up in price." I understand that in NYC, apts go fast, but there is no way you had one great apartment, and all the rest were horrible. At the office, before you even speak to an agent, you have to sign forms saying the firm gets a 15% commission - EVEN IF you see a unit (with a different broker) in a building Caldwell Banker ever showed you, CB gets a commission. Then we got a shady conversation about how if we wanted to find anything good, we needed to go at least $200 higher than our max budget. When we put together a list of apts to go see right then, we were told they were just grabbing the keys and ended up waiting in the office for 2 HOURS before they were finally ready and, at that point, it was some broker we had never met before, not even Bruno. My roommate and I both felt we were being manipulated the whole time.

Asked if a specific listing is available, and was confirmed it was. However was told I would need to come into the office first because that is how it works. Thought to myself, 'Ok, no big deal', so went in the same day I heard back, signed few forms, and inquired about the listing.

To my surprise, he had no recollection, so I pulled it up on my phone and showed the listing he posted. He still had trouble remembering but said he “thinks” it is (1) actually in a totally different area (30-40 blocks up, not as indicated in the website) and said (2) it is not available anyways ‘because thousand other people are looking at it now’. He never once apologized for this "miscommunication". He instead said we needed to meet anyways so he could ‘understand what I am looking for in order to show me what is available now.’

Yes, this is NYC, and apartments come and go fast. I have done apartment hunting few times in the city, and I fully understand how it works. but.. I never worked with a broker who falsely confirmed its availability and its location. Why would anyone want to work with a broker who cannot even be honest?!

Just another bait & switch salesperson. Tried every trick in the book. I attempted to set up an appt. to go see the NOFEE apt - 9 emails later - he confirmed but with his office as the meeting place instead. (Which is a dead give away the ad you called about is bait) I called to [call him out] I mean, "discuss" his pre-approval process, because why else would we need to come in? Possibly because if it really is NOFEE, they might like to make sure its worth their time, right? Wrong. Fact is: He "asked" for the WEB ID (without asking which site I found the apt on) and stumbled to say his "system" said it was rented. BS, BS, BS.

And if you look above, one of his 4 star reviews is from a co-worker.

Yes brokers are people too, and I am sure he's very helpful if you have zero idea which guys have the inventory, and which ones don't.

Bruno Boudjemai Responded:
This is the busiest time of the year and a big portion of people that want to meet on the street cancel at the last minute and no one really benefits since I don't have to tools necessary for me to help me finds a home, that's why meeting in the office is crucial. I understand some people may not agree but what I know is that most of my clients find their new home the same day and they're very happy and that's make me proud of a job well done, I just wish to get them to right me a good review!

Bruno, and escecially Gabriel were great for working on Unique requirements. We found a perfect place, but went with a more perfect one with another agent, not because this team was not fantastic, only because the place found was exceptional and handled by another agency. Go with this team and you will not be disapointed.

I thought finding an apartment would be a time consuming experience, but within a day I found the perfect apartment(thank god it was so cold out). Bruno has been at this awhile, he didn't mess around. He took me to see three apartments that were all great, it was a hard decision, I liked that problem. I found a perfect place right were I wanted to live, for less than I was prepared to spend!!!
Overall this was a great experience, THANK YOU BRUNO!!!

Do NOT be fooled. I inquired about an apartment, he told me to come to the office ASAP because the apartment was such a good deal. I traveled 2 hours from Long Island the very next day. When I arrived he was extremely shady and had a "last minute appointment" so he left us to a coworker. She then informed us that that apartment was never available and then worked with us to come up with a wish list. No apartment was shown to us that night. Very misleading, waste of time.
