Bijan Samawat

Bijan was born and raised in Berlin, Germany. When he moved to New York, he quickly became familiar with how difficult and frustrating it can be to find the right place to live. Because of this, he is determined to make sure that your experience is as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Starting with finding the right location, the best apartment for the best price, and helping you navigate through all the steps of renting or buying real estate, Bijan’s impeccable customer service and calm demeanor will literally make you feel right at home.

Before joining DSA, Bijan developed his sense of detail and aesthetics while helping with his family’s antiques business. He also worked as an intercultural and de-escalation trainer, and is a certified electrician in Germany.  Additionally, Bijan is an owner of commercial property in Berlin, which gave him experience as a speculator and landlord.

When he’s not scouring the streets searching for your new apartment, you’ll find him in the gym practicing Mixed Martial Arts three times a week, teaching Capoeira to a Harlem youth group, or riding his beach cruiser around the city.

Bijan is fluent in German and Farsi, and happy to help all the other New Yorkers find a great place that they can call home.
